My hunky husband and I live in the Dallas area with my two children who are teenagers, which is #thebestlife.  I’ve been working in education for the last 23 years, and just stepped away for a bit to see our family through a hard time.  My passion is language acquisition, and it’s my joy to serve our community!

We’ve worked hard to become and stay debt free, so Mark and I follow a pretty strict budget.  One thing we always account for, though, is travel.  Everyone has their “thing.”  Ours happens to be an itch to see the world, so we set aside money each month toward travel.

I hope the posts here inspire you to travel.  Whether you stay in the United States, or travel internationally, there is so much to see and do!  Don’t let the picture- perfect Instagram travel posts put you off to the possibility of a weekend getaway.  Very few of us can afford the “luxury-thatched-roof-hut built in a lagoon of azure ocean” situation.
